05/15/08: get something at the hardware store

I'm not sure on the spelling but I think its "diatomaceaous earth" but it's the skeletal remains of diatomes- little ocean critters with sharp shells, that any insect walks across will die. It is a harmless fine powder to us and our pets- but rips open the bodies of the bugs.

It works really well if you make lines of it all along your windows and doorways, and anywhere you see a lot of ants (cat boxes, etc)

Also, you may want to keep ALL of your food in the fridge or airtight jars for a little while, so as not to tempt them.
