Ronny Yu's 'Bride Of Chucky' was easily one of the most entertaining films of 1998. Child's Play 3 was atrocious and the original sequel wasn't anything spectacular either. Many have pointed the finger at Universal and accused them of milking the franchise and there is definitely conviction behind their arguments. However, Ronny Yu's technical expertise behind the camera elevated this movie a few notches above many other genre piece of the last few years. It was exploitative and childish to be sure but still a funny movie.
